If you think 11-0 is impressive, I’ve got another one for you – the Oil Kings are now riding a 22-game win streak into game four against the Moose Jaw Warriors, with their last loss coming over two months ago. Not bad, eh?
Not to be outdone, the OHL’s East Final has had a couple of noteworthy moments so far as well… (more…)

5. Alex Edler
Anytime a guy takes the puck from behind his own net and is able to cash at the other end of the ice, it’s a thing of beauty. Check out this goal by Vancouver’s Alex Edler last week!
(AFTER THE JUMP: The REST of the BEST!)
4. Matt Hunwick
Colorado’s Matt Hunwick is a guy you might not expect to see too often on this list, but how can you ignore the type of dangles he put on display recently? What a goal!
3. Ryan Shannon
Tampa Bay’s Ryan Shannon gave Marty Turco a bit of a “welcome back” present last week, dangling him right back to Austria with a nifty breakaway move!

1. Alex Ovechkin
The Great 8 is making a late push for the Washington Capitals and just filling the net on a nightly basis recently. That includes this beauty against the Blackhawks where Alex Ovechkin totally undresses Duncan Keith!
What the Puck?
In the game of hockey there are three types of luck – there’s good luck, there’s bad luck, and then there’s this:
This week on 15MOF: Sidney Crosby makes his long awaited return to action, Taylor Hall gets belted against the Flames and a couple of Oilers should be up for trophies this off season. As well: a handful of early “March Madness” upsets!
In the GABBYs: Teemu Selanne, Steven Stamkos, Ilya Bryzgalov, soccer fights, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and Adriano. The Punchline this week is the Orlando Predators!
With the playoff races in both conferences of the National Hockey League in full flight, every goal counts…even the greasy ones!

He “officially” became a journalist in 2007 and has been plying his trade in Edmonton ever since.
