I’ll Have Another’s chances of making horse racing history got a lot stronger today as it was announced by ESPN that Bodemeister will drop out of the Belmont.
Bodemeister had finished second to I’ll Have Another at the Preakness and Kentucky Derby in two of the most remarkable and exciting horse races I have ever seen. The news was confirmed by Bodemeister’s trainer Bob Baffert who nicknamed his horse after his son, Bode.
I’ll Have Another is capturing significant Canadian attention. The horse’s jockey, Mario Gutierrez spent six years in Vancouver, and its owner is J. Paul Reddam, a Windsor philosopher.
