The Oklahoma City Barons got themselves in a bit of a hole Monday afternoon in Toronto with a 5-3 loss to the Marlies in game three of the Western Conference Final of the American Hockey League playoffs.
Matt Frattin scored twice as the Marlies, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, took a 2-1 lead in the best out of seven series. Frattin broke a 3-3 tie with a game winning goal with 2:02 left.
The Barons, the top farm team of the Edmonton Oilers, also had a tough time stopping Philippe Dupuis, who notched a goal and an assist, was a +1, and five shots on net.
Ben Scrivens made 25 saves for the Marlies.
