Kerrzy’s Notebook: 15 Minutes of Fame

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Happy Tuesday!

After a week off, the boys from “15 Minutes of Fame” are back at it – this week, we’re previewing the Stanley Cup Final between the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks, the latest on the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg situation, and a look at the NBA Final.

In this week’s GABBYs: Dirk Nowitzki, missing pucks, the best and worst of MLB pitchers and pitch invaders and lots more! Oh, and Jim sounds like a robot and has shorter hair. One more thing: Make sure you stick around until the very end for a special segment!

And I’m sticking to it – 15 minutes of fame with Jim and Geoffrey

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

It’s 15 Minutes of Fame for the Holidays.

Jim and Geoffrey talk this week about the Edmonton Oilers, and Taylor Hall. They then talk about the Calgary Flames and Darryl Sutter’s resignation as the general manager with that team. Then they finish up the first part of this week’s episode with a lively debate on Chris Osgood’s potential of becoming a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

In this week’s GABBYs – the UCONN women’s basketball team, Ryan Whitney and Santa Clause. On the bad side – Rex Ryan is in trouble, the weather has been trouble and fans are causing trouble.

In Quick Hits: Michael Vick’s MVP chnaces, the hockey World Junior Championship, Dwayne Roloson and the Governor of Pennsylvania says the US is a nation of “wusses.” Also: Thanks again to YouTube for the great screenshot where it looks like I’m really, really into Jim’s eyes.

It’s a debate I’ve had countless times with people who say there is no way that Osgood should be up there with the best goalies to ever play the game. Without a doubt, he is one of the most hated-on and doubted goalies I can think of – it seems like no matter how good his numbers are, no one wants to give him his due. Lets put Monday’s accomplishment into perspective: in the 93-year history of the NHL, only nine other guys have done what he just did. (more…)
