There’s no question that above all else, the NY Jets have been one thing this year: Controversial.
That trend continued this week, with the latest episode involving coach Rex Ryan! This one isn’t so much a controversy in the way that the Brett Favre sexts, the treatment of a female reporter at Jets practice or the ‘sideline trip’ were – this one is more just a fairly embarrassing thing that has come to light.
One thing it does have in common with the Favre text story though is that it was brought to us by the website Deadspin.
Without further ado, here’s the scoop: A series of foot fetish videos have surfaced that appear to star a woman who looks a lot like Rex Ryan’s wife Michelle. The guy working the camera in one of the videos even sounds kind of like Ryan. The similarities between “Ihaveprettyfeet” and Michelle Ryan don’t seem to end there – both are 47-year-old housewives, both have a master’s degree and both once lived in Ellicott City, Maryland. With it being American Thanksgiving, my weekend NFL picks comes a little bit earlier this week.
After a terrible week 10, I had a great week 11, going 13-3. I was wrong with San Francisco, Cincinnati and Tennessee. My overall record now is 97-63.
Here are my week 12 picks:

New England over Detroit– I completely agree with Bill Belichick’s comments this week that the Lions are a much better team than their 2-8 record shows. Amazingly, when you take a look at their for and against ratio, they are only a -3. But Detroit still has a lot to prove for them to battle against the Patriots for a full sixty minutes. New England wins, but Detroit could keep it close.
This is the time where the Canadian Football League takes center stage with two interesting semi-final match-ups.
First up is the Toronto Argonauts and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Division Semi-Final (Sunday, TSN, 11AM). Both teams finished the year at 9-9 with Hamilton sweeping the season series 3-0 by a combined total score of 74-28. The Ti-Cats are led by Eastern Division nominee for the Best Defensive Player, Markeith Knowlton, who led the CFL with six fumble returns. The Argonauts probably don’t have the advantage on offense or defense, but have a clear advantage on special teams where ex-Eskimo Noel Prefontaine handles the kicking duties and Chad Owens is the best punt returner in the CFL.
